Western Balkans University hosted “The Next Revolution – Free Market Road Show”, bringing Tirana into a global dialogue on innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic transformation.

The event opened with welcoming remarks by Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, Rector of WBU, who emphasized the importance of connecting global ideas with local impact, as well as the role of universities in preparing students for a rapidly evolving world.

The conference featured five distinguished international speakers who addressed key topics shaping the future. Christopher Lingle, PhD, highlighted entrepreneurship as a driver of economic and social progress and emphasized the importance of free markets. Viktória Németh, PhD, discussed the role of artificial intelligence in geopolitics and global trade. Max Rangeley explored how AI is reshaping the balance between individual freedom and centralized control. Dr. Nima Sanandaji focused on low-tax economies, brain business jobs, and deep technology, and their impact on growth and welfare. Dr. Krassen Stanchev addressed fiscal policies and economic perceptions, examining how information, uncertainty, and decision-making influence economic systems.

The event created a dynamic platform for students, academics, and experts to engage in meaningful discussions, reinforcing WBU’s role within a global network of ideas and innovation.
