PhD (c) Marsida Ibro is the Head of the Research Office at Western Balkans University. 

Marsida Ibro holds a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Tirana and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Technical University of Sofia, Faculty of Telecommunications. Her research focuses on the analysis and design of digital electronic circuits, VHDL hardware programming, power consumption algorithms for programmable logic devices, and advanced circuit design using FPGA technologies.

With over 15 years of experience in higher education, she has served as an assistant lecturer at several public and private universities, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence and innovative pedagogy. Throughout her career, she has actively contributed to curriculum development, research supervision, and the integration of emerging technologies into learning.

She is also an active member of IEEE Women in Engineering and part of the WIE Affinity Group in Bulgaria, where she advocates for the inclusion and advancement of women in engineering and technology fields.
